Most of us know are familiar with charity since childhood, be it distributing distributing blankets in winter to those without shelter or holding community langars. The AIIMS dharamshala, which I visit to help patients and caregivers has three beautiful sisters whose father is losing his eye sight. Two of the sisters have enrolled in a formal govermentt school thinking they have an extended stay ahead. Since it is a mid-session admission they didn’t get uniforms from school. With the father, the main wage earner sick they have no funds to buy them either. They requested if I could get them sweaters and caps for school. l further asked another seeker who immediately transferred the amount to the uniform shop. With Delhi winters being severe and temperatures lower than 6 degrees, it’s great happiness seeing the girls cozy and comfortable.
