It was the last day at work before the Christmas break. We thought it would be nice for some of us to have an Italian lunch. So we headed to a local restaurant, where a lovely gentleman greeted us, and the atmosphere was cozy and friendly. We sat and ordered our meals. I ordered a classic Margherita; it was freshly prepared and very delicious.
While having my meal, a gentleman walked into the restaurant, he approached our table and asked for £1. No one seemed to have any change, so instead, I offered my pizza to him. He happily accepted and wished me a merry Christmas; in return, I wished him too.
To see this gentleman smiling and enjoying the warm pizza in the cold London weather, made me feel an inner joy and gratitude for everything I have been blessed with.
